With his side bangs reaching just past his ears, Izumi's piercing holes become visible, but a few piercings-specifically the one on his lip-close up as a result of him not using them. When he first starts dating Kyouko Hori, Izumi decides to cut his hair short and withdraws from wearing glasses. Occasionally, he wears a lip ring and chain, along with casual outfits and various accessories. He removes his glasses and keeps his hair tied up into a small ponytail with a few bangs framing his face. Out of school, he dons a more casual appearance and is seemingly indifferent about the fact that others can see his piercings and tattoos. He keeps his hair shoulder-length and straight to avoid drawing attention to his piercings and wears thick-rimmed glasses. In his first appearance, Izumi is seen dressing heavily in order to hide his tattoos, wearing his winter school uniform and blazer. He also has a few dark-colored tattoos on his left shoulder, upper left arm and side. Izumi has a total of nine piercings: four down each ear and one on his lip, all of which were done by himself. He also has deep blue eyes, messy black hair that goes down to his nape with parted bangs and thin eyebrows.
He is noted to be quite handsome and attractive with long lashes and a slightly feminine-looking face, a feature that others often point out. Miyamura's personality seems to develop into a sardonic one in the later chapters once we learn about the fact that he actually has friends (not bad, but idk, I felt it could've been better developed).Īnyway, I really liked tons of elements to it.Izumi is of average height and he has a slim figure with pale skin. With female leads that usually take care of the home, I expected some really obnoxious siblingship sacrificing, or just being a doormat. I love the development of their relationship before they start really developing feelings (i think it begins roughly around chapter 14)-I love slow romances. Not overbearingly so, but in the just-right increments for me. Imagine my surprise-this manga's really, really cute and sweet. (Edit: I see here that it's listed as shounen on mangaupdates, which really explains a lot about why it isn't just overbearing romance as far as the eye can see, "you're the only one for me"-esque drama llamas) I was surprised and thrilled by what I got-I thought, okay, well, even if the male lead's design isn't my thing, I guess I'll give it a shot. I read using mangapark so y'know, what gives, right? It was filed under Josei (which I rather like because it's a bit more realistic in terms of relationship expectations), so i thought why not. When I started reading this, it was because I wanted something that wasn't stereotypical shoujo-esque. For another, I really have a favoured tendency towards male characters with short-hair. One of my favorites by far!įor one thing, though, I'm usually the biggest critique when it comes to high school romances (I really like slice-of-life though, so if anyone pulls that off well in theirs, I'm all there). This story is for those who love something real and not over the top! I highly recommend this. Great storyline, compatible characters, and fantastic leads. This manga has me laughing at times just at the facial expressions.Īlright, so to wrap up all of my random thoughts, I'm enjoying this manga so much. usually I give a smile when something is funny. It's a rare occurrence when I actually laugh out loud during a manga. Additionally, this manga is quirky and so funny. The characters match each other nicely and I don't find myself particularly hating any character. Hori-san (heroine) has strength where other manga heroines falter but even she keeps things real. Much like the description, there are two strong leads and I find it so refreshing. Something about Hori-san in the story draws me to her so much. Strong heroines in shoujo mangas come few at a time however, even then, they all seem to have similar weak points. This manga surprised me in how real it felt.
#Taiyou no ie kissmanga series#
There are only a handful of series that I see as complete (as in giving me satisfaction with little to no remorse).
In my eyes, I can be critical of shoujo manga.
